following migration from windows my macbook pro won

I used the migration assistant from my windows laptop onto MacBook with Ventura operating system. Once it finished transferring files it says there is an error starting the MacBook and I don’t get to the log in screen. Help!

The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50). I have recently purchased an external USB SSD and copied some files from an old Windows laptop that I threw away eventually. I now try to copy and paste the files from the disk to my personal Macbook air and I am getting the above-mentioned issue: The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50). I guess since I moved the files from the Windows machine the hard disk is formatted from Windows OS and macOS cannot handle that. For sure I cannot move files to disk as well. Moreover, when trying to move files from the hard disk to a friend's Macbook Pro it works properly and can move the files to the laptop (again not the other way round). Is there any workaround this issue withtout deleting the files or re-formatting the disk? Is there a way in general the disk to work smoothly for both MacOs and Windows machines?

Error message in dual boot system I have a 2014 Mac Mini on which I have recently installed both Mojave and Monterey because I have some software that will only run on the former. I have them installed onto separate volumes and can boot between them by using the Option key on startup. They both seem to work fine, as far as I can tell. However I am getting an error message when I boot into Mojave that says "Incompatible Disk. This disk uses features that are not supported on this version of Mac OS." Apple has this to say about creating a dual-boot setup: "This is not a long-term way to continue using an earlier macOS after upgrading. Later macOS versions can install changes designed to keep your Mac secure and these changes can affect your computer’s ability to continue using a significantly earlier version." Clearly this is correct and is giving rise to what I am seeing. However there are several guides on MacPaw etc. describing how to set this up that don't mention the error. The question is, is it something I can safely ignore, given everything seems to work fine in both OS versions? I don't want to keep using it if it is going to damage the drive in some way. Would it be better to partition it first in order to keep both installations separate - would that make any difference? Any help appreciated thanks!

Boot into Restore mode,CMD+r keys...

Look at top of screen for Utilities menu...

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.

If it won't start after that you may need to reinstall the OS.
