Transfer data from personal iPhone to work iPhone

Hi,

I currently have an iPhone 15 pro as a personal phone and also an iPhone 15 plus as a work phone. My work phone has various work apps and is listed as owned by my employer, but I can sign in to my own iCloud account and my employer does allow it to be used as both a work and personal phone. My work phone is set up already and is in daily use.

I would like to transfer the eSIM and all apps and data from my personal phone to my work phone, so that I only need to carry one phone each day instead of two.

I have signed in to my iCloud account on my work phone and have attempted to find a way to transfer data, but, each topic I see online showing how to do this seems to be only from the setup stage for a new phone. My work phone is setup already and I don’t want to lose the work apps and data that are on it.

When I try to transfer my eSIM from my personal phone to my work phone I get a message saying ‘transfer not supported’.

My questions are-

1) Is there a way to transfer all my data from my personal phone to my work phone, in addition to the data already on the work phone and without resetting the phone?

2) Is there something I’m missing when trying to transfer the eSIM? Is this a problem from my carrier or a problem with the phone?

Thank you 😊

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

1) You would need to do this via either a cloud-based storage solution such as Dropbox or iCloud drive, except for any app that can sync via iCloud. Settings, except again for any that can sync between devices via iCloud, cannot be transferred except when setting up a new iPhone.

2) Transferring an eSIM to a new phone is up to your cell carrier. Contact them for assistance. Or talk to your company's IT department. If they're managing your iPhone, they may have that capability restricted.

Regards.
