How to get iTunes Subscriptions and Playlists accessible to two different Apple Accounts?

Before I mistakenly used my iPad backup to revert my iPhone to a previous date my husband and I each had our own Apple ID but shared his for iTunes and subscriptions so purchased ringtones, playlists etc could be shared and I paid for our subscriptions. I’ve got everything straightened out now with the exception of the shared iTunes and subscriptions. Anyone know how that was set up to be shared? I had my own Apple ID but we only have and shared iTunes on his. It was done by someone at the Apple Store originally but when I asked recently I was told we needed family sharing because that’s how Apple wants it done now, but purchases cannot be shared that way and I’d have to create all new playlists which would be very time consuming when we already have them made on iTunes.

Maybe this?

3. In the support article: If you subscribe to Apple One and use a different Apple ID for iCloud - Apple Support Apple alludes to using a different Apple ID just for media, subscriptions, and purchases, but doesn't describe how to do this. See if these work:

In iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings > [your Apple ID] > Media & Purchases. Sign out of the current ID and sign in with a different one.

In Ventura or later: First, quit Settings. Then, in App Store, choose “Sign Out” in the Store menu, then click on the “sign in” button that appears in the main window. You can then sign into the other account. (from: Using different Apple ID for media & purc… - Apple Community )

Thanks but I have that. The way we shared iTunes before under his Apple is I already have a number of playlists set up. When sharing under the family plan we have to set up all new playlists which will be extremely time consuming. I’m on chemo right now and just don’t have the energy to do that, LOL. I’m trying to figure out how my phone was set up to share his iTunes playlists and subscriptions before and do it again. I know there’s a way because #1 - we did it before, and #2 the Apple store tech said “this is how Apple wants us to do it now” which kinda implies that there is a way they DONT want us doing it.
