Slow image loading for other apps photo selection
Since the iOS 18 update all my apps have very slow images loading.
Photos are blurry and it takes a while till they get clear
Selecting photos in other apps takes very long.

Do you use iCloud for your Photos? Do you have "Optimize iPhone Storage" turned on in Settings>Apps>Photos?
Optimize saves space on your phone by keeping only smaller versions of your pictures on your phone, and then grabbing the full sized images from iCloud when they're needed. If your iPhone storage is nearly full (Settings>General>iPhone Storage) then lots of your pictures may need loading for functions like zooming in or editing or transferring. And you'd need to be sure you had a strong connection to the internet.
