Next year I'll be travelling to Japan for vacations and I would like to know, if I buy an iPhone in Japan will it work correctly in Argentina?

recall reading that phones in japan are usually sim locked and it's not a custom by carriers there to unlock them so people can use them with other carriers,
also the phone there can't have the camera sound muted because of some law there
Keep in mind, iPhones from different regions have different features. Also, AppleCare+ and Warranty only apply to your region of purchase, so you will have to go back to where you purchased the iPhone for service.
You still maybe able to get service internationally, though the service centers are not obligated to honor the warranty. It all depends on if they have the parts for your iPhone, and at the service center’s discretion.
So you should only buy your Apple products where you reside.
Don’t do it. Buy a phone in the country you live in.
