UK transit companies don’t offer any transit cards, so there is nothing to show. UK transit companies accept most credit and debit cards when added to Apple Wallet app and you setup Express Transit in your Settings app > Wallet & Apple Pay for use with your payment methods.

The article is correct insofar as several transit companies accept Express Transit. So to use that feature an approved credit or debit card needs to be in Apple Wallet. Then setup Express Transit in Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Express Transit.

So, yes Transit is a feature through the use of Express Transit.

That is so very unclear..... Thanks for the clarification.

That feature may be disabled if you’re using iOS 18.1 beta. Beta software should never be used on a primary device. It’s also possible this has something to do with UK and the EU situation. Local Apple Support in UK may be your best source for information that way.

Transit cards displayed are specific to various settings on your iPhone. For example, when you were using your previous iPhone what region was your iPhone set for? The credit and debit cards were issued by what banks and in what countries? What country was your Apple Account set for? How do those settings and locations differ from where you are now?

I know but that’s not my case cause i always had the option to add different public transport cards on my previously iphone (usa, france, japan)

now as you can see on the pics I don’t have the green icon and button under debit and credit card that let me allow to add extras cards.

Maybe it’s just an isse on iphone 16 pro and we will update bugs with the next software

thanks anyway
