Audiobooks Have Wrong Cover Art on Books App on iPhone

I send an audiobook to my iPhone or iPad, the book has embedded cover art, which shows up correctly in the Books app on my Mac.

The audiobook then appears in my Books app on my device, but it does not have the proper cover art. Instead Books appears to be assigning it random cover art from albums in my Music library.

I assume this is a bug and how do I fix it?

I now I have a growing number audiobooks in my books audiobook library all of which are displaying album covers from my music library! My romance novel has a KISS cover!

I am running Macbook Pro 16 inch 2019 running Sequoia 15.0.1 and iPhone Pro Max 16 iOS 18.0.1

I don't have a solution. Just adding what I have done trying to correct. I currently have 60 books on my phone. 12 of them have random art - well not so random - they all have the same cover - from my MUSIC Albums. I removed the 12 books, went into each and made a small change, then added the books back. Now 10 of them have the right are - BUT they don't display "in line" with the rest. I use the grid and all my books like up on that grid perfectly - except these 12. I again removed the 12 - and deleted and re-added the Book cover art. The result was the same. 12 book are back to the Music Album cover. So I deleted the Album from iTunes and my phone. Now the 12 books have a different cover from Music!!!

Side note - my music covers are a mess too. Maybe 15 of 80 albums have some other albums cover. I have deleted ALL music and added back. No joy! Doesn't seem to be a way to consistently fix!
