Failure of iphone 15 connection to PC

Trying to download pictures from iPhone 15 Pro Max to laptop with Windows 11. I connect the cable (getting the "click" at the phone end) and get power going to the iPhone. However, File Explorer and iTunes does not show the phone. Please advise. Any help appreciated!

I would definitely try a different cable first on this, especially since File Explorer isn't showing the phone so we know it's likely not an iTunes issue.
