I am using one of the built in wallpapers. Display brightness is set to light.
All my Apps have black backgrounds! How can I get them back to white. I have tried every setting I can find that might relate and I have shut down twice.

go to Settings, Display & Brightness
in the top row you see two screens, one marked Light, the other Dark
tap to the Light one and switch off Automatic

Did that and nothing happened. I shut down and restarted and still the same.
