Why does my voice sound different on MS Teams calls when connected using my Beats Pro?

I am using a macbook M2 usually without headphones to do MS Teams calls, but recently, I had to use Beats Studio Pro headphones to limit my impact in the surroundings. However, despite fact that sound for me was perfect in those headphones, my interlocutor the other side complained about nose-tunnel sound of my voice.

I don't get it, as technically, those headphones are not turning into microphone and my assumption is that the voice keeps being captured by the macbook, so why is it that my voice appears to so bad and painful the other side ?

Hi!

By default, your Mac tries to use the same device for audio input and output. Because your headphones have built-in mics, those are used.

You can change this by going into System Settings > Sound. Under "Input," select your built-in mic instead of the headphones.
