iPhone mini stuck on 'Indexing Your Library'

backed up iphone mini, then had a new battery fitted a few weeks ago, restored it ok but the search in photos does not give any results, its says 'indexing your library'

I've tried a few of the standard suggestions ie turning 'locations' on and on and restarting the phone, also leaving plugged in and 'on lock on wifi' etc

iOS search stops working, requires reboot iOS 26.3 but this started earlier. Whenever I do search eg use pulldown for files contacts anything really other than apps it stops showing results after around 2 days. I need to reboot the phone to get it working so it is not matter of my settings it must be a bug.

“No Results” in app library search or photos. For the past few months, I have had this issue where it I swipe down to search whilst in the app library, I immediately get the error of “no results”. No matter what letter I type, even if it’s “S” for settings, it always says no results. A similar issue presents itself in the Photos, where if I am in the search tab, it shows you “One Year Ago” in the “Moments” section. But when I click it, and it automatically imports the filter into the search bar, I get the “No Results” error again. Please see the screenshots below. I have tried: Restarting my phone Force rebooting my phone. Updating to the latest iOS version. Device Information: iPhone 13 Pro Max 256 GB iOS Version 17.0.3

looks like its starting t search now .... after 10 days,

not sure if any of the suggestions (reset/turn off & on locations services / leave on power overnight etc etc) did anything or it just took that long?
