Is iMac running BigSur compatible with iPhone 15 Pro running IOS 18?
My iMac can't be upgraded beyond Big Sur. If I upgrade my iPhone 15 Pro to IOS 18 will it work with my iMac?
iMac 27″, macOS 11.7

Yes.

You should stay on released versions if you depend on that unit for anything; there isn't an advantage to installing 17.7 before 18.0.1 or 18.1.

Use 18.0.1.

The Apple watch 8 seems to have updated automatically and is now at version 10.6.1. I updated the iPhone 15Pro to IOS 17.7 and the watch still doesn't work. I guess next step is to update the iPhone to 18.0.1 I understand that IOS 18.1 is still in Beta testing. Which one should I update to? Safer to update to 18.0.1?
Thanks!
Thanks for the quick reply Niel! I'll go ahead and update to IOS 18.1 on my iPhone 15 Pro.
Would there be any advantage to updating to IOS 17.7 first? And then move to IOS 18.1?

Neil, appreciate your advice! I updated the iPhone to 18.0.1 and the watch to 11.01.1. Both are working fine now. THANKS
