iPhone SE3 Screen Replacement Problems

Today, I got my iPhone SE3 screen repaired, however I am now back and experiencing issues with the screen, I was told it was an “OLED, 120hz screen” however SE3’s don’t operate on OLED, do they?

So, I contacted Apple support via iMessages and they did a diagnostic test, and it is an Apple Certified Screen, they also said it was an OLED screen, but it is lagging very slightly, when I swipe pages on the Home Screen, it lags and adjusting brightness via Control Centre also lags however they didn’t say the hz rate of the screen, could I have more help determining if this is a OLED 120hz on the iPhone SE3. Also, I no longer have access to truetone on this as it disappeared from settings and control centre. It also has a blue-ish tint to the screen.

Any help is appreciated!

iPhone SE, iOS 18

If you had the screen replaced by anyone other than Apple or an actual Apple Authorized Service provider, you most assuredly don't have an authentic Apple screen. 3rd parties who aren't authorized service providers can't buy parts from Apple. And the fact you no longer have True Tone, is a big indicator you don't have an authentic screen. If all you did was have Apple run diagnostics over the air, as opposed to taking it to an Apple Store, whoever you spoke with missed something.

It would be advisable to take it back to whoever replaced the screen and show them the issues you're having.

Take it back to where it was serviced. None of that is acceptable and Apple provides a warranty on all repairs they do. I'm concerned though that this might not have been repaired by Apple or Authorized Apple Seller, so that may change what you are able to do with your iPhone. The phone itself will determine if any parts on your phone are unauthorized, but that does not mean there was other damage done during the screen replacement.

The repair was done in one of my family’s trusted repair shop which they use all the time when their devices get damaged. It must’ve been me, the first time this has happened as members of my family haven’t had this issue. The person who repaired this also gave me a free screen protector and applied it on which had made it significantly worse.

Bummer. Your phone is unsupportable. Apple won’t touch it and we can’t help you.

If the shop you had the work done at won’t make it right, your only options are to live with it the way it is or buy a new phone.

That's nice, but don't be surprised if upon evaluation, Apple refuses to put a new screen on your iPhone, since it was replaced by a service which is not an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
