Why is there no Night Mode option on my Apple Watch?

The issue is to disable Night Mode. Other threads say "To address the issue with Night Mode on your Apple Watch, follow these steps:First, open the Watch app on your iPhone.Navigate to the My Watch tab located at the bottom left of the screen.Next, tap on Watch Face, which is situated at the top of the menu.Locate the Night Mode option..."

But there is no Night Mode option on the face settings page. Next idea?

Do you mean Nightstand Mode?

It seems Apple might have moved this setting.

In the Watch app on your iPhone:

  • Go to the "My Watch" page (button bottom-left)
  • Scroll down to "General"
  • Scroll down to "Nightstand Mode"

Now you should be able to disable it :)

As best I can tell, Night Mode is exclusive to the Ultra series. Also, what you are describing isn't "Night Mode." In Night Mode, everything on the screen goes to red to help preserve night vision.

Unlike the iPhone, the watch doesn't have an auto-brightness function. Will Always On Display help? In the Watch app, Display & Brightness>Always On. If that's enabled, the display will never turn off.

I see.

You can make sure that the Apple Watch is at full brightness at all times by adjusting 2 settings. Again, in the Watch app, under "My Watch":

  1. Under "Display & Brightness" adjust the slider at the top of the screen by sliding it to the right.
  2. Under "Accessibility" you will find the setting "Minimum Brightness." When you turn that on, the minimum brightness of the display is increased.

I just tested this out on my own Apple Watch and it seemed to work!

I should mention, though, that this setting only adjusts the brightness for when your Apple Watch is in use. That is, when you turn your wrist or tap the display to look at the watch. When you are not actively using it, it will still not be very bright.

Let me know if this worked!
