Full installers for masOS Mojave 10.14.0 or macOS Catalina 10.15.0?

While trying to upgrade from macOS Yosemite 10.10.5 (MacBook Air Early 2014) to Mojave or Catalina, the App Store keeps asking to review my account since "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the App Store". When trying to do so, I get the following message:

"pings failureType5002 customerMessageAn unknown error has occurred m-allowed"

Even though the account has billing info, I can't review it and therefore cannot download an upgrade installer. Is there any other way to get the full installers outside the App Store?

Thanks!

I think you need to be running macOS 10.11 El Capitan before you will be able to access the App Store. Try upgrading to macOS 10.11 first. Here is an Apple article with links to various macOS installers including El Capitan. Read the instructions carefully since there are multiple required to extract the real installer into the Applications folder.

I highly recommend creating a bootable macOS 10.11 El Capitan USB installer so you have more options available in case something goes wrong.

I'm assuming you never upgraded macOS past 10.10 Yosemite. If at some point in the past this laptop had macOS 10.13+ installed, then you should have access to Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R which theoretically would allow you to access the online macOS 11.x Big Sur. I would still highly recommend creating the macOS 10.11 El Capitan USB installer now while you still can do so.
