My MacBook Air M2 from May 20 is unable to install app Store updates and doesn't see macOS Sonoma 14.5 update.

Computer: MacBook Air M2 2022, macOS Sonoma 14.4.1


Poblems:

  • Upgrades of App Store Apps are correctlyn shown but teh computer is unable to install them even after days of turning;
  • Software Update doesn't show sonoma 14.5 update and, after inserting the command softwareupdate -l through Terminal, answer is that 14.4.1 is the last update

Have you tried to restart the computer? Sometimes a simple reboot is all that is needed to fix things.


If a reboot does not help, then try booting into Safe Mode to see if you can download & install the updates. If this works, then you have some third party software installed that is interfering with the normal operation of macOS. Typical culprits are anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, VPN software, and third party security software......none of which are needed on a Mac. These types of apps usually cause more problems than they solve. Uninstall these types of apps by following the developers' instructions.


See if the following command shows the 14.5 full installer:

softwareupdate  --list-full-installers
