I have a 2015 MacBook Air and I can't update the software

I need to update my software but when I press it, my computer takes me to the App Store and there is nothing under updates. I need to update my software, I have a 2015 MacBook Air and I can't update the software

An early 2015 and a 2017 MacBook Air can be upgraded to the latest version of Monterey macOS 12 but no later. See: How to download and install macOS - Apple Support


Be aware that if you upgrade to Catalina 10.15 or later you will also need to update any non-Apple 32-bit apps. See: https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/
