Trigger Notes to sync manually?

Hi people!

I have recently switched from Evernote to Notes for my digital personal archive.

I have one issue and that is that sometimes it takes very long for a note to sync between devices.

Usually I updating a note on my Mac and only search for it on the iPhone when needed.

But after creating a note and logging in to Notes on iCloud in safari, I notice that it actually synced to iCloud, but on my iPhone it still is the old note.

I keep pulling down on the list and get the spinning wheel as if something is happening, but nothing actually happens.

Is there any other way, besides the pull down that doesn't do it, to actually manually trigger a sync?

Thanks!

When that happens to me, I quit completely the Notes application on the device that is not receiving the updated data and I reopen it.

It seems though that since macOS Sequoia and iOS 18 I don't need to do this as often.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah. I tried that. Even restarted the phone. Next morning it still didn’t sync.

it is an existing note that I have updated on the Mac. The change did sync to icloud. But not to phone. Old version of that note is there.

I keep having that spinning wheel thingy when I pull down. But don’t get the update.
