MacBook Air bought at a lost/unclaimed luggage auction. It is not blocked but is activated.

Will Apple Store or support contact the previous owner on my behalf to negotiate a price with them to keep it and unlock or indeed return it to them? What are the options open to me?

Buying a sealed stolen MacBook Hello, I want to buy a MacBook from a non-certified reseller (from an eBay style app), the MacBook is sealed, so there’s no risk of a previous owner bricking it, but I’m 90% sure the laptop is stolen. Would Apple/ the official reseller from which the MacBook was once stolen be able to brick it after I first boot it up? Thanks.

Lost macbook, but it was never registered to my account I bought my wife a macbook air, that she set up but never actually registered it. She accidentally left it on a plane. I have the original receipt from best buy with the serial number, product number, etc. However since she never actually registered it we cant track it with findmy to see its last location or report it as lost. The plane went on to many locations so its hard to know which airport to even file a claim with. Is there anyway with the receipt or serial number to add it to my account?
