Emails not loading after iOS 18 update on my iPhone 13 Pro

After updating to iOS 18.1.1 my Apple Mail was not working. I can send but not receive email. Weird thing is my junk mail is coming thru, but not anything into my main inbox.

I even checked my fetch email settings, put it on Manual, but when I refresh my email inbox, nothing happens, it shows "Updated Just Now" and the number of unread emails. but no new emails arrive. I also checked all the server settings and matched them with the Yahoo! mail app settings.

I have the Yahoo! mail app installed and it works perfectly for this account. I also have a different gmail account and use Gmail app and it works.

Deleting the email account from the Mail App and adding it back in has solved the problem for now.

SOLUTION: Mail App>All Inboxes>tap 3 dots in upper right corner and change from Category View to List View. Apparently, the emails were on my phone since updating, but the new iOS added categories and distributed my new emails to them. List View puts all of the new emails in the Inbox.

Solution (hopefully!): Found a solution. 

I turned off “Hide IP Address” under “Privacy Protection” in the MAIL app. Finally, everything loads quickly. Sure was frustrating. Hope this continues. 

In the Mail itself, after the new 18 update , there is something called Priorities in a blue box. If you tap on that, it reverts to All Mail- then the download is immediate.

Restart your phone.

Make sure you're connected to strong wifi or cellular data.

Delete and reinstall the mail account.

Reach out to your mail provider or look at their help site.

Your suggestion was the fix for me EXACTLY. I turned off hide my IP address in the mail settings and messages load IMMEDIATELY. This was driving me nuts, thank you for your help!

I have an iPhone 15 Pro, after iOS 18 my mail is delayed by as much as a day. I have 5 accounts, multiple calendars, address, books, etc... I am not deleting all these and starting from fresh - there is an apparent bug, if you search around, this exists.

I'll hold out another week or so until the next update is released, but this is BS to deal with, so I'm sticking to web based mail portals and 3rd party apps until then.

But sure, try restarting your phone, try deleting accounts if you can't wait... good luck.

My emails only load the last 49 days for all my accounts. How do I retrieve them all? 14 Pro Max
