The new ios 18.1 larger emoji row is really annoying, Is there any way to get rid of it? There should at least be an option because in a ton of people’s preferences it’s too big and annoying. I want the old emoji rows back. Any help?

I wholeheartedly agree. This is the most infuriating update they’ve ever made to the keyboard. The emoji’s are WAY too big!
Please bring back the smaller emoji keyboard, or add a setting to switch it back. This is awful.
It’s called Kaiboard - a keyboard that you can type Traditional Chinese and English simultaneously. Download the Kaiboard app and install. After that go to “Settings” “General” “Keyboard” then add new keyboard.

I repeat the problems above. It seems to me that in WhatsApp, Threema and Signal only some of the emojis are sent ( after having written some letters) straight - out of the message - in a big way as a single message - not all of them;
and which are doing it - and which ones not: is not discernible. Please, please change!
I agree 100%. The new emoji keyboard layout is way too big for my liking. It takes twice as long to find en emoji that you’re looking for and honestly it’s just not pleasing to the eye. I feel like Apple should at least give us an option to use the old layout or the new layout. Same with the photos app.
I really hope Apple will make it a toggle on/off thing because it’s not a great default feature!

It doesnt work. Tried that.
Upgraded to 18.1.1, still no change… and now another problem is with insta. Voices echo and colors are faded 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ is there anyway to go back to ios 17 ?
