Permanently removing passcode on iPhone SE 11 home button

recently my home button on iphone SE 11 has stopped working, and on the safe side i want to remove my passcode. how can i permanetly remove the passcode. please help me

There is no such iPhone as an iPhone SE 11. There is either an iPhone SE or an iPhone 11. You probably have an iPhone SE since you mentioned an existing home button.

Open Settings ➡️ Touch ID & Passcode ➡️ Turn Passcode OFF: Follow onscreen instructions from that point onward.

There IS an Apple 11SE; I own one. It is the last model they made with a home button, which is why mine now has to last another 40 years. Yesterday, my stupid phone tricked me into forcing me to use a passcode, even though we've lived in harmony without one for years. I was getting ready for a factory reset, but your post helped me avoid that. Thank you.
