Do I receive refund for a rejected Apple Pay transaction?

I sent my mom money through Apple Pay and she rejected it. It’s already been taken from my bank, but the money never went back to my bank or Apple wallet! Where is my money and how do I get it back? Does it automatically redeposit back into my bank just it just go to my Apple Pay account? I just want my money back that she rejected the payment of.
