I need a number for Apple Frud Dept
I received an email notification from Credit Karma regarding a hard inquiry on my
credit report from: Oct 21, 2024 CITIZENS BANK CITIZENS BANK, 100 SOCKANOSSETT CROSS ROADS,
CRANSTON, RI 2920. I have never done any banking with them, nor have I requested a line of credit or credit cards with them. I contacted them to inform them that this inquiry was not made by me. The representative informed me that the loan was not approved, and they escalated it for investigation. Moments later I began receiving notifications via text message from Apple stating that an order
was placed and would be ready for pick up at their Upper West Side location at 1981 Broadway, New York at 5:00pm - 5:15pm. I immediately called Apple to inform them that this order was not placed by me. They opened an investigation on their end and cancelled the order. While on the phone with them, I received another notification about a second order that would be ready for pick up at the same location at the same time. I informed the rep who was still on the phone with me, and she cancelled the order and attempted to contact the store to inform them of the situation. During this time, I received a third order notification that was to be retrieved at a different location in Soho 103 Prince St., NY between 5:30pm - and 5:45pm. Since I still had the rep on the phone, I informed her, and she also cancelled that order. She contacted the Soho location and informed them of the situation. The Soho Apple Store rep said that the order wasn't
showing in their system because it was cancelled and escalated by the rep, I
was speaking with from Apple customer service. The rep assured me that the orders were cancelled. I attempted to get a police report, and they are asking for an affidavit of fraud from Citizens and from Apple. When I contacted apple, customer service rep informed me that I need to hire an attorney to contact Apple Legal Dept to obtain said document. I have a hard inquiry on my credit report from Apple's iPhone loan partner Citizens and neither can help me to have it removed without an attorney. The rep also explained the only way to pick up an order would have been for me to show up with my ID, but I didn't order or apply for the credit line. I already have a new device. Could it be possible that an employee at one of the locations somehow got my apple info, logged in and placed the order so they could walk out of the store with the devices?
