MAC Download From YouTube Music (Premium)

This may be a basic question but... Anyone know how (and IF it is possible) to download YouTube music downloads from YouTube onto my MAC so I can add to the Apple music library (I do miss iTunes!)? I do pay for Premium and maybe mistakenly understood I could do this. I am reluctant to take random advice on Google about software etc. - definitely want to avoid any malware or issues on the MAC. As such, thought it was best to ask, especially as MACs always have their own way of doing things.

I use ClipGrab , I have just plain YouTube ( no premium) and CG works for me , it has2 versions, free and paid… I can ‘t post a link to it here as that’s a big no-no… I checked and the most recent version works with MacOS 14… there are other paid apps that’ll do it and you can even access websites that’ll let you do that online( they are buggy though, will bombard you with ads when you try to do YouTube download that way.. sometimes they’ll work, sometimes not … not recommended unless you’re desperate, IMO

Thank you so much for the help! I definitely want everything to be on the up and up - I pay for YouTube Premium to actually do away with the ads, and because I want to be sure I always use something that is MAC-friendly, I thought it was worth asking (as a non-tech person always possible I miss something and I do not want bugs)! I really liked iTunes as it felt much easier and more intuitive - being less familiar with the MAC Music app also means more confusion for me! Thanks again!
