MacBook Pro Auto Unlock when runs out of power

if the Mac book pro2017 is unlocked and runs out of power when you connect the adapter the system comes up but stays unlock. This is security threat

make sure you connect the external display and lid is closed

MacBook Air powered down itself Now that's funny. I found my MacBook Air (M2, Sequoia 15.7) completely powered down today. There were NO power outages (the Mac is plugged in), and in any case the display was set to be off when not used. Battery is fine. Now, long ago, there used to be Lock Screen options to kill power on Macs after a certain length of time, but those disappeared a while ago. Why might this have happened? Just very odd to have a modern Mac just turn itself off.

Mac Book Pro Auto Power on Malfunction? My brand new Mac Book Pro keeps auto turning on when I open it or try to wipe off the keyboard or anything like that. Basically if anything is touched on the laptop at all it powers on. Is there a way to fix this malfunction? Normally I wouldn't care but my renters insurance says very specifically that I agree to not operate any electronics devices that turn on in any other manner than the usage of a power button. This is very unsafe! To my insurance this device is considered malfunctioning and they WILL NOT insure my home with it in there. Yes this is true I directly asked my insurance company. I am hoping that this can just be easily shut off in settings or some command in the console, if not I have to pack my brand new laptop up tomorrow and return it. Which is disappointing because even tho the auto turn on is a non starter the rest of the product has been above my expectations. PLEASE help me figure out how to shut this off!

How to Prevent MacBook Air Silicon from Turning on When Keys are Touched? A friend had a mishap and needs to clean under the keys, but because the MacBook Air (Silicon) turns on every time a key is touched, it has made the process a nightmare. When a laptop of any nature is turned off it should be OFF. It's not in sleep mode after all— that's what sleep mode is for, it can be active and ready when keys are pressed. So this behavior has caused a great deal of trouble in the initial mishap since it caused all sorts of letters to be randomly entered on the login screen since it turned on automatically and as such he was locked out for an hour for "too many login attempts" despite him not actually trying to log in. Now it's causing all sorts of trouble since he had to remove the keys and clean under them. He tried to properly turn it off by holding down left control, then shift and command for 7 seconds... then hold down power button, but that didn't work. He considered removing the battery but that is impossible to do. I only have an iMac so I don't have any suggestions. How does one stop this maddening behavior? He and I absolutely love the Mac, but this makes no sense.
