When I press the home button on my iPhone 7 Siri always shows up with a text box. Why would that keep happening?Especially when my settings are not set up like that.

Pressing and holding the home button is the way to invoke Siri.
If you don't want to do that, don't hold the button down.
You can also disable the option in Settings ➜ Siri & Search ➜ Press Home for Siri and make sure it's not switched on.
