Re: "Changing Apple Music subscription: I am recently changing from a student to regular. Originally it said
this would change to 10.99 now it’s saying it will remain at 5.99…any input or truth so I know what to expect?"
We are all Apple users, like yourself, in the community, so no-one here has access to your accounts or details in order to check your subscription charges:
From the FAQ's at the bottom of Apple's Music Page Apple Music - Apple
Q: What does Apple Music cost:
A: That all depends on which offer you choose. (ie: in US$)
(1) Students can choose the Apple Music Student Plan at $5.99 per month.
(2) An individual monthly subscription is just $10.99 per month.
(3) The Apple Music Family Plan, which allows you to share your account with up to five people and gives each member a personal account, is just$16.99 per month.
(4) The Apple Music Individual Plan and the Apple Music Family Plan are also included in Apple One, which bundles up to five other Apple services into a single monthly subscription.
Apple One plans start at $19.95 per month.
Of course, currencies differ in the different countries, so amounts above may not be accurate for where you live.
You may (or may not) already have other Apple Subscriptions (Eg: iCloud+, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+. Apple Fitness+ etc.) which could make up an Apple One "bundle". and save you money.

You can view your subscriptions in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions to see what info is listed there.
Else: you'll soon know for sure when the first non-student month is charged.
You can: View your purchase history for the App Store and other Apple media services - Apple Support
You could contact the "Billing and Subscriptions Support" Team
Eg: using the "Get Support" link at the bottom of their webpage (link above) ie: online chat / phone / mail etc.)
