See information in If the battery in your iPhone drains too quickly - Apple Support including the following excerpt:

If battery life is less than expected after an update

If you notice that your battery life has decreased after updating your iPhone, wait a few days and then check again.

Even though you can use your iPhone immediately after an update, certain tasks related to the update continue in the background and might affect battery life and thermal performance.

Welcome!

Hard to tell from what you have provided so far.

—Have you restarted the phone since the update?

—Do certain apps seem to discharge the battery faster the others? If so, what are they?

—Did Apple replace your battery or was it done at an authorized service center or a reseller? Outside the US, many "Apple" batteries are actually low-quality knock-offs. See: About iPhone Parts and Service History - Apple Support

—In Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging, what does yours show for "Maximum Capacity"?

The battery may do more work immediately after a major upgrade. Housekeeping functions after a major update can continue for a while after your phone shows as ready to use.

My SE 2020 is now three years old and has its original battery. It seems to have similar runtimes with iOS 18.01 as it did with older versions. I charge it at night and, unless I use the camera a lot, it can go all day and still show 60+% charge come bedtime.
