iPad Air 5th generation 2022 is on, charged and won’t respond

I have an iPad Air 2022, I just used it last night with no issues, and today it is on, shows my wallpaper, is charged to 78%, yet when I swipe up, it does not respond. I have tried a hard reset three times. How long do I need to hold done the home button on the top of the iPad after having pressed and released quickly both the up volume and down volume buttons? I have held the home button on the top (usually used to turn off and on iPad) for longer than my finger is comfortable and nothing changes. Still exactly as it was. Three times. Am I doing something wrong or need to hold down the home button even longer? Like minutes? Please, specify how many minutes before I know that won’t work. And any other suggestions please, to get the iPad Air to respond. Thank you.

If you already tried (to no avail) to put it on charge for at least half an hour, then, keeping it plugged in, try a "forced" restart of your iPad, using these correct gestures:

  • In rapid sequence, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the power button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

If the issue persists, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
