Unable to restore my iPhone with Water Damage using MacBook, follows a never ending loop.

I recently have received water damage on my phone. It told me to go to support apple to restore it. I follow the steps, except when i go to finder and have my phone plugged in, i click restore, it starts restoring, but after like 30 seconds, the whole restoring tab disappears. I have my macbook updated to the latest, and I have no idea why it just like stops noticing my phone 30 seconds into the update/restore. So I keep replugging and unplugging the plug into my phone, the mac says to restore it, and its just this never ending loop. So what do i do?
