A free trial period for Apple Music has conditions, as mentioned in the Apple Music page.
As you have cancelled your free trial period your Apple Account no longer is eligible for a free trial.
As you have had a (free) subscription to Apple Music you are no longer considered a new subscriber.
If you want more time to evaluate the service you will have to sign up for a one-month paid subscription - which has only a minimal cost - but if you decide not to continue during that month's subscription you must cancel before the renewal date.
