Why is my Photos library located in a folder and not in Photos app?

Hi,

I would like to know how why my photos library is on Folder instead of inside the Photos container?

hmm there somehow seems to be an extra dot at the end of "Photos Library.photoslibrary." so macOS treats it as a common folder and not as a package.

Maybe you have accidentally created an extra library?

What happens if you in Finder double click the other "Photos Library.photoslibrary" without the dot?

Or Option-launch Photos.app and navigate to the Pictures folder -- does it offer to open either of those libraries? If yes, which one is the correct one?
