i have a new 2024 MacBook Air. The scroll bar disappears and I have to change window size for it to appear. However, if I can’t catch the bar in a “split second,” it’s gone again !
is there a remedy for this ?

Following setting could help your issue.
From the Apple menu, select System Settings. Click Appearance. The following screen displays. Set the Show Scroll Bars setting to Always.
