iPad incoming calls don’t ring (redux)

Adrian4354 has correctly addressed this issue back in May 2024, but a few modifications are in order:

If you want your iPad to ring and show caller info, the solution is made in the iPad, not the phone. On the iPad, go to Settings➡️Face Time➡️Allow calls from iPhone (toggle on). Repeat: Solution is in FaceTime on the iPad.

Now, if the phone is close to the iPad, you will only get caller display info on the iPad (no ring). If the iPad is far enough away from the iPhone, it will display AND ALSO RING. This is to avoid multiple devices in close proximity from ringing simultaneously. Hope this helps.

I have the solution:

The iPad doesn't ring if it's next to your iPhone. Bring it to another room, it will ring.

It's a function (and not a bug) to avoid multiple devices ringing simultaneously when next to each other, which would be undesirable.

Actually, mine used to act in that manner, however this new set-up, I believe, is an improvement. There’s no need for both devices to ring simultaneously when they are in close proximity. It’s actually quite annoying. If you have all updates installed on both devices, you should have the described process in place. This has been verified in multiple devices in my home.

PROPER SETTINGS:

On IPhone Settings➡️Apps➡️Phone➡️Calls on other devices➡️Allow calls on other devices (toggle on)

On iPad As previously described

I prefer the way it is now set-up (at least for me). No need for 2 devices ringing when next to each other. Also, as noted, this has been verified by Adrian4354
