My iphone doesn't allow me to record in prores 4k 24fps. I've set it to record only in 24fps since the error says that it only allows 60fps to be recorded on an external drive. But 24fps is supposed to record internally. And yet it doesn't. Is this a defective phone? The very reason I even got the pro version to record 24 fps at 4k internally!
I would contact Apple Support for help, before deciding the phone is defective.

It must be defective, because I follow those instructions and every time I tap on the prores on the top in the camera app, it shows the error msg. I got it to do prores/log in HD 30 though. It just doesn't do prores/log in 4k. I tried in HDR mode too and that doesn't work.
Well, I thought it would be wise to update the OS. For some reason it didn't have the newest one. 45 min later, it's still going, and the progress bar is like half a millimeter. It's never taken this long w/ my other iphones before. I bet this one is defective. Good thing I backed it up. I'll take it back to the store where I bought it tomorrow if it doesn't finish.
