How to compare files in folder and subfolders

Hi,

I imported my Documents folder from my Synology NAS to my macbook pro.

From my back, I see a small difference of files.

I wonder, if a application exists to show only the different files only.

I also tried the diff command but I can not find how to print only the different files only.

Would have a method the select the folder where there are different file and the print the difference of a file?

Or the best way to archive my goal?

Is there a good Software for that purpose?

Thanks

Thanks

the shortcut I use is to have one of the folders open, viewed in list view.

then choose Finder >File > New Finder Window

An ADDITIONAL window opens. navigate that one to the OTHER source, and set it to list view as well.

compare the items in the windows, shown in the same order. if you need dates or sizes, just adjust the views to see those.

if you like, you may be able to drag and drop between windows in either direction to obtain the desired results.

Another Mac capability that is "insanely great".

I use a slightly wider external display, and can place the two windows side-by side, and scroll each window so that the items match or where they don't match is quickly apparent.

I am not sure a paper list of differences and a screen, or a list of differences and a list of files is any better than that. It will be a tedious process no matter what method you end up with.
