Touch ID greyed out in system settings (iMac M1)
Just the other day I noticed that the Touch ID from my iMac M1 (Sequoia 15.0.1) does not seem to work anymore.
When i open the system settings of Thouch ID, all the slider/buttons are greyed out. The only thing i can do is remove the existing fingerprints.
I already read If Touch ID isn't working on your Mac - Apple Support, tried rebooting the mac, turning off and on the keyboard, connect it with the usb-c cable, booting the mac in safe mode and performed a hardware diagnostic.
None of these things helped, although at one or two moments, de sliders/buttons were activated again (blue) at one point, but us soon as i clicked on 'add a fingerprint' or changed out a slider, all sliders went greyed out again and was not able to change anything anymore.
Am I left with the option of failing hardware?
