black thumbs up emoticon the only option

here's a strange one.


When texting I use the default yellow coloured thumbs up quite a bit.


But on my old 2015 15" MacBook Pro and now my new M3 14" MacBook pro (migrated from my old MBP) the only thumbs up option is the black one.


I actually don't mind using this but I suspect may look kinda weird to others. I'd like to at least have the option to use another color thumbs up.


1st world problems, eh?


Anyway, how do I change this? can I edit a .plist file somewhere or something?

Click and hold on the emoji icon until the option panel appears. Then select the one you prefer to use.
