Image Capture iPhone Disconnect and -9934 error messages with same .mp4 files

Greetings everyone.

I am in the process of transferring 40gb of iPhone images and videos to an external hard drive through my preferred method of using Image Capture and connecting my phone to may MacBook Pro through a cable. I am connecting an apple lighting cable connected to my iPhone 13 Pro Max connected to one of my MacBook Pro's usb-c ports with a small anker usb-a to usb-c adapter as well as having tried using an Anker usb-c media hub dongle before repeatedly getting these error messages listed below, normally when in the middle of attempting to transfer an .mp4 file. My MacBook is a 16" MacBook Pro with an M1Pro chip, 32 GB of memory and running Sonoma 14.4 and my iPhone 13 Pro Max is running iOS 17.3. My WD 14TB hard drive (formatted as Mac OX Extended Journaled as it is an HDD) is brand new and connected to the MacBook pro with the same Anker adapters (i've tried both with the media hub dongle and with the small adapter to see if it made a difference). I've disabled auto lock on my phone and on my MacBook disabled putting disks to sleep when possible and any screensaver, power saving settings. Here are the messages I receive.

"Camera disconnected while importing

The camera "my iPhone 13 pro max" was disconnected while importing. (null)"

and this error message

"The operation couldn't be completed.

(com.apple.ImageCaptureCore

error -9934.) (-9934)."

I've attempted to boot up using the safe boot method and then restarted again normally which seemed to work momentarily until I received the same error message. I've tried 2 different lightning cables, as well as the 2 different usb-a to usb-c adapter methods i've mentioned (the small anker adapter that goes on the usb-a end as well as the anker 7 in 1 usb-c media hub). It seems to occur with the same few .mp4 files so i've tried "changing" the order of import by re-soring the files by name, date, and the disconnect and import error message seem to stop at the same .mp4 files. And not sure what else to do.

Any help and insight would be appreciated, thank you 🙏🏼
