Apple needs to update UK time zones

For some reason Apple does not properly update time zones in England. the last Sunday in October the time goes back one hour at 2 am. IT DID NOT UPDATE It didn’t go onto British summertime and it’s not going out of it - seems like they should be able to do this. I notified them in the summer too, and it didn’t update then either !

To put it more concretely, my current timezone is Pacific Time in the US with DST turned ON in the summer. Time not updated from summer to winter (France) 20 October 2024 I am in France and my iMac, iPhone and iPad are all setup identically with the French timezone, auto update etc etc. This morning when I checked my iPhone, the time had not been updated, same on my iPad and iMac. I checked on the internet and I know all the settings are correct on all three devices. Just heard from a friend and she had same problem this morning. Sh-t show Apple!! So I wonder how many missed appointments there were this morning for people thinking their apple product would update to the correct time overnight. My solution for the moment is to set everything to UK time. Anyone have any idea. And yes, all are updated to latest OS.

Daylight savings time issue After turning my time zone to automatic last week, the daylight savings adjustment for Atlantic time seems to have issues. I used to always use manual clock setting to stay locked to Atlantic time but changed to automatic at an Apple support rep’s request when running diagnostics on something unrelated. I have never needed to intervene or do anything to correct the time on time changes any other time. I was working overnight and watched the time switch and successfully change on its own after 1:59 to 3:00 am. Now over an hour later, I see it is only 3:12. (Screenshot taken slightly earlier at 4:03) Sometime in the last hour, the time changed back for no apparent reason. When going to the world clock, I see it knows that in Halifax, it is 4:12 but for some reason the time has changed back out of daylight savings time or into eastern time on its own on my phone. If I had been using my phone for an alarm, working the opposite shift, it would wake me up an hour late.
