Exporting apple journal entries

I'm having trouble exporting my journal entries from Apple Journal. I have seen the directions from Apple that are here:

The issue that I'm running into is that the instructions provided tell me to click on the three dots in the app to bring up the export option. There are no three dots except the ones for each journal entry. Clicking on those provide 3 options: Edit, Bookmark, Delete. Once in the entry the only options are to delete or edit the date.

The instructions for exporting all entries say to go settings>app>journal. Once there that will provide the export all option. Looking at settings there is no 'app' option and the journal app is not in settings.
