iMac Photos no more favorites in People and Pets

Previously in People, my FAVORITES would show up on top. Now with People and Pets, Favorites doesn't seem to work.

I want my favorites to appear on top like they used to.

I am running sequoia 15.1

iMac 21.5″, macOS 15.1

Suddenly Unable To Favorite Or Unfavorite Photos As of recently, I have been unable to favorite or unfavorite photos on my 2023 MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.3). I'm able to select the "heart button" in both the thumbnail and fullscreen views, and it will temporarily show that I've favorited the photo, but as soon as I click on the favorites tab, the photo(s) selected as favorites won't be there. I've double checked the folder permissions to make sure nothing was set to "read only." Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Is there a Glitch when Sharing Photos in Ventura?? After installing Ventura, when uploading a bunch of FAVORITES to social media or any where else, I no longer get the option like you see in the screenshot uploaded. *** By the way, this screenshot was taken from another iMac I own that still has Catalina OS.

Why is sidebar not showing up on my iMac Photos app? I have a number of Apple devices and the main one I use - desktop iMac is no longer showing the sidebar that shows Photos / Collections / Albums / Shared Albums on the left of the screen. All I have visible is the entire photos library pictures. I want to drag and drop some photos into Albums but cannot do that. I cannot locate anywhere that tells me how to show the sidebar. I have an iBook and that shows the sidebar. I have checked the settings in view and both Macs have the same settings but the iMac is not showing the sidebar. Any help would be greatly appreciated - it is kind of driving me nuts! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I liked that, too, and I was confused, at first when it went missing. But you can still choose Favorites people using the right-click pop-up menu:

The Favorites don't appear in a separate section at the top, but the Favorites are listed first in the People & Pets section.

I could probably do without the "Groups," though…
