Hide apps that launch upon startup in Sonoma?

When I used macOS 12, I used to be able to have the option to hide apps that were in the login items list, but since I was forced to upgrade to macOS 14.7, the option has disappeared.

is there any workaround for apps that are being launched at startup but I don't want to have showing up initially? It's driving me nuts. Thanks

The first answer really doesn't address the question.

The best I can find is quite manual. Keep the app in your login items, and then upon login, Control-click the app in the menu bar, go to Options (not sure this will work with all apps), and choose "Hide".

As I said... quite manual. Maybe there's an alternative that involves a third party app, but the only one I could find doing a quick search is called Autostarter (US$0.99 on the MAS)and does more than I need. (I only have two apps in my login items and one of them always opens a window.) I'd recommend checking this out or doing it manually.
