Lost phone wipe vs iCloud removal?
I lost my phone and wiped it using the “findmy” app.
Later, i got my replacement but accidentally removed the lost phone from my iCloud.
Would the wipe still go through?

Maybe but there is no way for you to know. In removing it from your iCloud account however, you gave access to whoever has the phone to do what they want with it. If I were you, I'd change my Apple Account Password and ALL passwords for sensitive accounts (banking and social media).
