Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
today, I installed the latest iPhone OS, which is supposed to include Apple Intelligence. It seems to have installed correctly, however, when I call for Siri, the border lights do not light up. How do I enable it?
iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18
First, please note that the only iPhones that support Apple Intelligence are the iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max and the iPhone 16 series.
If you do have one of these devices, go to Settings > Siri & Apple Intelligence > Turn it on
Note that the footer of my post indicated: "iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18" Just the same, silly me, I didn't realize that it needed to be turned on. (Honestly, it seems weird that one would have to turn it on; maybe that's just me. Siri & Apple Intelligence is largely the point of the iOS 18 upgrade.)

It's not odd to have to turn it on. There are some people who do not want Apple Intelligence, so you have to in essence opt in to use it, which is quite purposeful.
