There is no display on my battery... OR ADAPTER! Confused.

I don't speak American.

Someone please explain these functions on mi-Lady-MAC-Beth:

In settings > Lock_Screen

"Turn display off on battery..." and "Turn display off on power adapter..."


Perhaps Apple meant to write:

"Turn off display during inactivity - while using battery"? (Turn display is not correct... you are turning OFF...)

Perhaps not?

Yes, a better phrasing would probably have been to say "Turn display off while on...", or the phrasing as you suggested. If you wish to provide feedback to Apple, you can do so here:

In any case, there are two settings for when the display turns off when the Mac isn't being used, one while the system is on battery only and the second for when the system is connected to a power adapter.
