Is it safe to leave my xs Max on the MagSafe wireless charger overnight?

The charging port of the xs max doesn’t work. That’s why I’m using the original apple MagSafe wireless charger. The phone does get hot when I charge it like that. 5 minutes and it’s overheated. Is it safe to do that overnight?

iPhone XS Max, iOS 17

Unless your phone is showing a thermometer on the screen, it's not overheating. It is safe to leave an iPhone in a wireless charger all night. But I do wonder what your Battery Health is on your iPhone? If you still have the original battery in the phone, I would be surprised if it isn't past time to replace the battery Open Settings, scan down to Battery, tap it and tap Battery Health. If your Battery Health is 80% or less, it is past time to have the battery replaced.
