Ok my issue is resolved! After trying all the “delete mail app”, “delete mail account”, add the “/“, and other supposed remedies, it turns out to be something much more simple! Just go into the folders view of the mail app and click on “Edit” in the upper right corner then click on “Add Mailbox” at the bottom of your mailbox list and you will find all your subfolders. You have to click on each and every one for each mail account and then click done. Next, force close the app (swipe up). Then just be patient and let everything load. It took me about 30 mins and now all my subfolders are back!

Same thing, Apple Mail stopped loading new emails after the 18.1 “Update.” Tried a lot of the obvious fixes before I dug down into the mail app settings and found a “You must accept the new Terms and Conditions” message. Once done, email works fine.

Why the genius coders at Apple can’t bring a message to the top of the Home Screen is beyond me. Maybe they haven’t told the AI that’s doing the work for them that the human users matter.

I don’t know if it’ll work for ya’ll but this is what I did. Go to settings, mail , select the mailbox that has the issue, select advance, turn off USE SSL then click done. It will verify and tell you there’s issues… save it. Then close everything. Go back and repeat the same process and turn the use SSL back on. Fixed the fetching mail issue.

Hello, Fnœ.

I contacted Apple support and had a nice chat… By email came the advice: please contact Apple support.

Did you contact the Official Apple Support, the Apple Support Community, or the Apple feedback service? Believe it or not, all three are different.

The official Apple Support is meant for help if you don’t know how to do something, need to start a repair, or are having issues that need to be looked over. This is probably what the person you were talking with was referring to. This place is where official Apple employees help you.

The Apple Support community is what we are currently using, a forum for fellow Apple users to give each other tips, helpful information, be a help while the users are waiting for official support, and generally to support each other by sharing solutions to problems that others may be experiencing for the first time. Apple does not read these forums.

The Apple feedback service is a place to give Apple feedback of actual software bugs and glitches you’ve encountered or something that you want to see in a future product, software update, or service. I don’t think that they usually reply, but who knows: they might. Apple reads these and takes them into account. Don’t believe me? Check out this thread from last year. Let’s just say that with 731 upvotes, it blew up way more than this one. With the links that people have to the Apple Feedback page, people were able to submit their feedback. And according to Apple this year, the new Send Later feature was one of their most requested features of this year. This proves that feedback works. Apple is ready and willing to listen, especially when a bunch of people submit feedback about one thing.

We can yell and scream all we want on these forums, but Apple won’t listen. Not because they choose to ignore, but because they simply have other means meant for getting feedback. So next time when you claim that their system is “closed loops by design,” think again.

Is there a reason you aren’t allowing it to push to your device automatically?

I would suggest changing the fetch to Automatically instead of a times increment and see if you have the same experience with fetch issues.

I also import my other email accounts through my iCloud account to use push with them as they can only fetch. Have you tried that?

If you use iCloud mail go to settings > user icon at the top > iCloud > mail > import messages

You can set up yahoo to import into iCloud there.

Did you read the bottom part too?

“Your iPhone will fetch new data in the background only when on power and Wi-Fi”

iPhone 14pm all 3rd mail deleted and not updating. Just saying connecting but never does. Using up my battery. I did a network reset deleted 3rd party mail and added back. I contacted 3 party provider they blamed it on Apple Firmware update 18.1.1 But l agree with them this is when l noticed l started having problems with mail. Apple Engineers say it’s only with CenturyLink, but CenturyLink says it’s widespread. I believe them because l see other 3rd party providers mentioned in this thread. I sent all related info to Apple engineers including email from CenturyLink re 18 update and complaints in this thread mentioning other 3rd party mail providers. They’re calling me back this Saturday. Still not fixed

I got a similar problem on iOS 18.1.1. Mails are sometimes not loading, but the bigger problem is that when I delete or read mails on my mac, my iPhone is not updating the state of the mail to read and does not remove deleted mails.

It worked without problem on iOS17. I completely removed the account and installed it again. The settings are all double-checked. The account works without problems on macOS Sequoia.
