How do I make the cursor visible in pages?


The cursor is usually invisible, because it is white, on a white background. As you can see, above, one solution is to change the background, so you can see the cursor.


I'd rather change the colour, and size, and shape, of the cursor, as you can in terminal.


Is there any way to do this?


I'm using:


Macos: Sequoia 15.1

Pages: version 14.2 (7041.0.109)


On a Macbook M1 Air (2020)



MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.1

In System Settings > Appearance panel, set the Highlight color to your choosing, and Pages v14.2 will automatically use that for the insertion beam color.


Tested: Pages v14.2, macOS Sequoia v15.1

An addendum to this post.


Not only can one set the Pages insertion beam to the Highlight color, but there is an Other category on that Highlight color selector which opens a color picker for even more custom colors. However, the drawback with choosing a Highlight color is that any text that you select in any application will also be in this color. That is why I chose blue.
